Staff Software Engineer
Full-time
Fionics
Most "AI for X" startups are chasing markets that don't have money. This one runs a multi-hundred-billion-dollar industry that quietly keeps America's homes working.
A fast-growing NYC AI startup is hiring a Staff Product Engineer to own product surfaces end-to-end as the firm scales from real product-market fit into hypergrowth.
Why this seat is rare
The equity story. Cash-flow positive. Meaningful ARR after 18 months. A massive industry with no serious software incumbent. Staff hires at this exact inflection point are how generational wealth gets built — and the equity package is sized to reflect it.
Greenfield product. The surface for the next phase is still wide open. You'd define it. In 12 months, the core product is set.
Direct line from code to ARR. Small team, in-person customer onboarding, real feedback within days of shipping. You'll see your work move the number in real time.
Talent density. Founding team has lived the industry. The engineering bench is the kind of names you'd expect at a top-five startup in NYC.
Who they're looking for
A staff-level product engineer with 7+ years shipping customer-facing products end-to-end. 0→1 track record at real scale — ideally as a founding or early engineer. Battle-tested with production AI/ML. Sharp product instincts and the judgment to know when to ship.
If you've been waiting for a startup with real revenue, a real market, and equity that could genuinely change your life — get in touch.
