Security System Technician

Security System Technician Play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. Responsible for installation, programming, start‑up, and commissioning of state‑of‑the‑art integrated security systems including CCTV, IP cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platforms. Responsibilities Assist with the commissioning of new security systems on customer sites documenting commissioning details. Assist with testing and inspecting existing security systems. Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader. Complete commissioning within planned timelines. Submit accurate time and expense logs. Work overtime when needed. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Electro‑mechanical experience (from previous role or education) and user PC/software skill. Demonstrate understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management. Willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, high‑lift equipment, duct work, overhead spaces, and variable temperature conditions; be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, tablet; differentiate wire types/colors; lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Experience with Microsoft Office. Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; need to meet eligibility for Siemens fleet vehicle program. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred. 6+ months experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large‑scale integrated security systems. Ability to read/understand design and construction documents. Pay Range The pay range for this position is $42,340 - $72,583 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
