Energy advisors help maximize the value of energy program marketing activities by referring customers to all relevant programs, participating in community marketing, education, and outreach events as an expert resource, encouraging customers to pursue every energy upgrade that makes sense for them, tracking the status of every customer, and identifying opportunities for customers to make deeper energy savings over time. Detailed data tracking helps identify the most effective marketing tactics and offers real-time insight into a wide variety of parameters that can be used to maximize program performance. Responsibilities Act as local, customer-facing program and company representative to encourage participation and overcome barriers to energy savings. Learn to conduct home energy assessments and evaluations. Provide individualized and ongoing assistance to property owners and contractors to convert projects according to contract compliance. Work independently and in a team to ensure a quality education and installation experience. Record and report necessary data by electronic or manual methods to adhere to program requirements. Troubleshoot technical problems that may arise during the installation of energy efficiency measures. Learn, understand, and comply with all technical aspects of energy efficiency programs. Travel daily throughout a defined service territory. Install or repair energy-saving toilets and shower heads during home visits. Qualifications Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred work experience: weatherization, HVAC or building construction. Preferred certifications: BPI, OSHA, EPA Lead; or ability to obtain/pass skills tests after hire. Ability to explain technical information in an easy-to-understand way. Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Consistently friendly, positive, and respectful communication, even under pressure. Ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships. Excellent organization, record-keeping, and time-management skills. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, OneDrive) or ability to learn. Proficiency with mobile applications, specifically iOS and Salesforce. Ability to pass level 1 and level 2 background checks and drug screening. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; no history of major driving infractions. DOT requirements: meet all applicable DOT qualification requirements and comply with federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Compensation Hourly: $19.20 - $28.30 (USD). Salary determined based on internal equity, salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience.
