Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN-CVOR with open heart and vascular surgery experience for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Work in the CVOR unit averaging 6 cases per day
• Perform circulating duties for open heart surgery and vascular cases
• Weekday shift scheduled from 06:30-14:30
• Weekend call required

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA only
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Comfortable performing circulating duties for open heart and vascular surgery cases

Additional Information

• Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate activities of other team members while executing immediate interventions in urgent or emergent situations
• Complete verification of Safe Surgery checklist per service excellence standards
• Prep operating room and position/prepare patient for procedures
• Serve as communication liaison to family and members of the operating team
• Assist in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
• Participate in assigned call as scheduled
