Landfill Laborer

POSITION SUMMARY A Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center or landfill. Responsibilities may include yard clean‑up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, general office maintenance and other related duties. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Safely and efficiently perform assigned duties including: clean up work areas, fuel vehicles and equipment, clean track on track type and related equipment, perform yard work such as mowing and paper pick up, operate general site vehicles and equipment (e.g., water trucks, pick up trucks, sweepers, mowers, trimming equipment), perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work, install temporary wind fences as required, direct traffic at the site as necessary and perform other job‑related duties as assigned. SHIFT Monday – Friday; Start time 7am with rotational Saturdays. PAY RANGE The pay range for this position is $15.00 to $19.52* which reflects the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired. BONUS PLAN DETAILS None specified.
