Senior Accountant - GL & US GAAP (Hybrid)

Senior Accountant Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 Location: On-site Flexible (Hybrid) About the Opportunity This is an opportunity to join a multi-billion-dollar organization in a Senior Accountant role supporting day-to-day accounting operations, financial accuracy, and reporting. This position plays a key role in ensuring transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and supported in accordance with accounting standards and internal controls, while also gaining exposure to technical accounting guidance and support. This role is well-suited for someone who is hands-on with general ledger accounting and looking to grow their technical accounting skill set in a structured environment. What You’ll Be Doing • Handle core general ledger responsibilities including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet account analysis • Support cash management processes, including funding requests, urgent payments, and wire transfers as needed • Review and validate financial transactions for accuracy, compliance, and proper accounting treatment • Analyze financial data and variances to support reporting and decision-making • Collaborate cross-functionally to support accounting operations, reporting, and process improvements • Assist with technical accounting questions, research, and application of US GAAP as needed Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required • 2+ years of accounting experience required • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and double-entry principles • Exposure to technical accounting concepts and US GAAP preferred • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Subtotals) • Experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems preferred • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills • CPA license and public accounting experience strongly preferred What the Environment Is Like • Structured accounting environment with a focus on accuracy and compliance • Hybrid on-site schedule • Collaborative, cross-functional team structure • Exposure to technical accounting and professional development opportunities • Deadline-driven close and reporting cycles Why This Role May Be a Good Fit This role is a strong fit for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys hands-on general ledger work, reconciliations, and wants exposure to technical accounting within a large, successful corporation.
