Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Miami, FL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute hospital OR experience with strong ortho, neuro, and robotics skills.

Details

• Acute care hospital OR setting in Miami, FL
• 16-room OR suite within the main hospital building
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• OR teams consist of 13 teams with 15 RNs and 15 techs per shift
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Procedures include robotics/Da Vinci, orthopedic, neurological, and general surgery cases
• Charting is done in Meditech
• Floating to general OR is required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience in an acute hospital setting — surgical center experience does not qualify
• Strong ortho, neuro, and robotics/Da Vinci scrubbing experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• Two professional references required for this position
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include preparing the OR, arranging and inspecting equipment, assisting surgeons during procedures, and performing pre- and post-surgical duties including decontamination, inventory management, and applying dressings
• The facility is a 417-bed hospital that has undergone $90 million in upgrades, including a new patient tower and expanded OR, ICU, and ER capacity
• The facility is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and American Heart Association Gold Plus Achievement Award recipient
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible, no exceptions
• 13-week contract
