Construction Field Technician

Insight Global is seeking a Construction Field Technician to support an environmental consulting and contracting firm at the Apex Landfill in Las Vegas, NV . This is an entry-level field-based role focused on learning the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of environmental gas control systems. Candidates will work alongside senior technicians and gain hands-on experience while following strict safety standards.

Contract-to-Hire: 6 months

Key Responsibilities

• Learn the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of environmental gas control systems.
• Assist senior technicians with daily field activities and Crew Activity Plans (CAPs).
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on environmental system components.
• Collect field observations and maintain daily logs and field notes.
• Utilize and calibrate field instruments to collect environmental data.
• Review collected data with supervisors and assist with operational adjustments.
• Learn proper use of tools, equipment, and materials for maintenance and repair work.
• Support technicians with removal of landfill liquid pumps.
• Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years of field service experience in:
• Construction
• Oil & Gas
• Solar
• Similar outdoor field environments
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills:
• Microsoft Word
• Excel
• Outlook
• Teams
• Smartphones/Tablets
• Willingness to obtain a 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (company will provide training if needed).
• Ability to meet physical job requirements and pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE).
