Toolroom Machinist Requirements:

• Experience operating a Fryer lathe and TRAK mill, including on-machine programming 
• Working knowledge of manual lathes and surface grinders
• Ability to set up, program, and operate Fryer lathes and TRAK mills to produce quality production parts

1. Run Standard operating procedures on multiple axis machines

1. Contact Manufacturing Services to troubleshoot process problems

1. Change perishable tooling when required

1. Install new tool holders

1. Follow set up instructions to set up CNC machines

1. Follow inspection plans to inspect parts

1. Communicate to co-workers on status of cell operations

1. Participate in continuous improvement activities

1. Troubleshoot tooling as required

1. Work holding (fixturing – chucking)

Machinist Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required; 1-3 years of experience

Machinist Technical Skills 

1. Machining Experience

a. Millturn & Multi-Axis Machines

b. Mazak experience preferred

1. Competency in Machining Skills

a. Tooling

b. Fixturing

c. Chucking 

d. Work holding

e. Programming preferred

1. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Skills
