Position Overview: As a Kitchen Cook, you will be responsible for preparing hot, ready-to-eat food items that meet McKeever's quality and safety standards. You'll work closely with the deli and kitchen team to keep fresh meals available for customers while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare hot and cold food items including entrees, sides, and daily specials
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain proper food temperatures and adhere to food safety protocols
- Keep prep and cooking areas clean, stocked, and organized
- Package and label food for self-service displays or special orders
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties in the kitchen
- Rotate inventory and monitor expiration dates to minimize waste
- Communicate with deli/kitchen team to meet production needs and service goals
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Prior food prep or kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Ability to follow directions, recipes, and safety procedures
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
- Willing to obtain a food handler permit (McKeever's will assist)
- Ability to stand for long periods (4-8 hour shifts)
- Frequent lifting, reaching, and bending (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable working around hot surfaces and kitchen equipment
- Repetitive motions such as chopping, mixing, and stirring
