Plasma Center Nurse - RN

Role Overview You will serve as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting daily operations at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work under the guidance of the Center Physician for medical issues. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility by managing informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable test results. Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician’s standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance concerning medical or technical issues. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, referencing EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats. Provide center-level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate‑level nursing program meeting state requirements. Current state licensure or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). Current CPR and AED certification.Fulfillment of state requirements for basic intravenous (IV) therapy. Completion of the FDA‑approved training required for BioLife Medical Support Specialists. Minimum two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98 (based on qualifications, experience, and location).
