Make a meaningful impact with your expertise by supporting special education students and school communities in the Denver area as a school psychologist on a contract basis. You'll directly influence positive educational and mental health outcomes across various schools, with flexible assignment options to suit your preferred caseload and availability.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree, Specialist’s Degree, or Doctorate in School Psychology
• Current CDE Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
• Prior school-based experience required
• Proficient with student assessment and report writing
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and crisis management skills
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse students, staff, and families
• Strong computer technology proficiency
• Willingness to complete required district background check and fingerprinting

Responsibilities:

• Provide group and individual counseling per students’ IEP mental health service goals
• Design and implement interventions to support academic, social, and emotional development
• Deliver mental health services in classrooms and document progress
• Collaborate with families, teachers, school teams, and outside providers
• Conduct cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral assessments; complete and interpret evaluation reports
• Gather data and develop Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
• Participate in IEP meetings, MTSS, and professional learning community sessions
• Respond to crisis situations, conduct risk assessments, and support safety planning
• Provide psychoeducation to students, staff, and families, and assist with connecting students to community resources
• Offer services to students with 504 plans and general education mental health needs

Multiple assignment options are available, from immediate full-time leave coverage at the middle school level to elementary assignments throughout the school year. Hours and sites are flexible based on assignment needs.
