What You'll Do

• Operate forklifts and other lifting devices safely and without supervision.
• Read and interpret job specifications for material handling.
• Transport and position materials using various lifting techniques.
• Manage inventory by supplying materials to workers and recording weights.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including fueling and cleaning.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of related experience.
• Ability to pass an internal forklift certification program.
• Proficiency in operating forklift equipment, including levers, gears, pedals, and steering.
• Strong ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Capable of writing routine reports and maintaining organizational standards.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with groups of customers or employees.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently and apply common sense to tasks.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and solve problems in standardized situations.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 100 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules.
