New Equipment Salesperson

We’re seeking a driven New Equipment Salesperson to grow an established territory, developing new business for overhead crane systems and guiding projects from initial opportunity through early execution. This role combines consultative sales, site evaluation, and project coordination, with a strong focus on relationship building and field-based work. Experience working with overhead cranes and hoists is required for success in this role. What You’ll Do Identify potential customers, execute a territory plan, and evaluate project opportunities with businesses and general contractors. Prioritize privately funded projects while reviewing public bids as needed. Visit project sites to assess operational needs, building suitability, structural considerations, and potential obstructions. Collect detailed field measurements, including for crane rebuilds or modification projects. Provide scope and pricing input to estimators, finalize margins with management, and present project proposals to customers, ideally in person. Follow up on all opportunities, document customer interactions in the CRM, and negotiate project scope, pricing, and contractual terms prior to order approval. Act as the primary point of contact until projects transition to the Operations team. Coordinate drawings, approvals, and project documentation, confirm site readiness and power availability, and support installation, electrical start-up, and load testing as needed. Maintain strong connections, provide guidance, and ensure seamless handoffs to the Operations team. What We’re Looking For Required: Experience working with overhead cranes and hoists 5+ years of experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or heavy equipment-related environments Experience in sales, estimating, or project coordination or customer-facing roles preferred Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical equipment Comfortable working in active construction and industrial environments Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (significant driving required) Compensation Total Compensation $150,000+ Includes: Base Salary $60,000 Commission Structure: 3% commission on job value (less applicable costs) Paid 50% at order acceptance and 50% at final payment Non-recoverable draw provided to support ramp-up (reviewed annually) #J-18808-Ljbffr Mid-Atlantic Crane
