Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year NMSI INC Los Angeles, CA Salary: $60K - $80K / year Hours: 9 AM - 6 PM; NO REMOTE POSITION AVAILABLE Currently looking for an experienced Mortgage Loan Underwriter. Interested candidates must have at least 3 - 5 years' experience as a Mortgage Loan Underwriter. Responsibilities of the Mortgage Loan Underwriter Underwrite conventional loans within the company and investors' guidelines. Monitor updated guidelines and compliance issues. Review and update information on LOS to verify, add, delete, or waive conditions. Contact Account Executives and/or Loan Officers with the underwriting decisions or problems. Coordinate with Account Coordinators to ensure smooth flow of transactions. Provide reports and feedback to other staff and underwriting team. Support remote underwriters by reviewing and clearing conditions, and coordinating to move files to Clear to Close when necessary. Requirements of the Mortgage Loan Underwriter Must have at least 3 - 5 years experience as a Mortgage Loan Underwriter Demonstrated positive attitude, reliability, a self-starter who assumes responsibility when warranted, professional in manner, and hard working. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
