Arconic is currently in search of Operations Leader to join our Mill Finishing Department based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Operations Leader is accountable for providing leadership and direction to Production Teams and Operations Shift Coordinators in order to meet business requirements for the efficient production of metal in a continuous improvement environment. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Operations Leader is responsible to ensure a safe and productive environment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this positionAdditional Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, Material's Science, or Engineering10 years manufacturing experience5 years of leadership experience;Demonstrated success in coaching and developing high-performance teams;Ability to translate corporate and plant business objectives into meaningful and achievable business goals for the department;Experience with AS400 and Oracle;Operational knowledge regarding process, equipment capability, practices, systems;Ability to handle multiple projects/assignments concurrently and be results oriented;Demonstrated ability to use a computer, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point);Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.#LI-NW1In this role, you will:Lead the team in safely producing the highest quality productCoaches employees for effectiveness, efficiency, performance, safety practices, and adherence to procedures; corrects behaviors and actions as neededEnsure team performance goals are aligned to department and plant business objectives and communicated to the teamAct as backup for the Production SuperintendentComply with all employment laws and Arconic Equal Opportunity Policies in all hiring, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actionsProvides adequate direction for team; maintaining clearly stated work assignments and providing assistance when neededAssist in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees Ensure that EHS incidents and quality issues are appropriately investigated and corrective actions implemented on a timely basisAlso note:Safety is our number one value. Schedule: This position supports our 24/7 operations and primarily works 14 out of every 28 days on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
