Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Schedule - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend - Request Time Off (RTO): Maximum of 7 days per contract - RTO blackout: Spring Break (April 4–12) - Holiday expectations: If 1 major holiday falls in assignment: expected to work it If 2 major holidays: expected to work both If 3 major holidays: expected to work two Major holidays listed: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day

Assignment Details - Capacity: 32 rooms, average daily census ~29 - Ratio: 1:6 (days / nights / weekends)

Requirements - Minimum 1 year of nursing experience - RN licensure: Georgia or Compact license required - BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred - Experience with Med-Surg telemetry and remote monitoring - Proficient in IV starts, peripheral line and PICC management, blood product administration, wound care, chest tube management, high-flow nasal cannula, feeding tube care

Roles & Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical telemetry unit - Conduct assessments, manage care plans, and administer medications - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes - Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition - Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care

Compliance / Notes - Orientation: 36 hours - Floating: Yes, within the facility as needed and within scope of practice - Daily compliance documents are due the Tuesday prior to the start - COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
