Job Summary As our Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre‑hospital and inter‑facility settings. Every day you will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life‑saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care. To be successful, you will demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities While working under physician medical oversight, the Paramedic will assure quality of care by following the scope of practice provided by the National EMS Scope of Practice Model and further outlined by the North Dakota and Minnesota Board of Emergency Medical Services, in addition to align their role within functions set forth by CHI Saint Francis Health. Administer BLS, PALS, ACLS, and critical care interventions following the orders and supervision of the attending physician. Perform triage, assessments, interventions and patient education as needed. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records in a timely manner. Promote patient’s independence by establishing personal rapport and care goals; teaching patients, friends and family to understand condition, medications, and self‑care skills; answering questions. Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support.
