Details 32-bed General Surgical unit specializing in postoperative care 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required as assigned Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week Uses Meditech EMR Requirements Active RN license (AL State or Compact) required, no temporary or pending licenses accepted AHA BLS certification required (American Red Cross also accepted) Associate degree in nursing required 2 years of RN experience required; candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license and 1 year of recent specialty experience will be considered Trained in postoperative care including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures Additional Information Collaborate closely with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons Provide postoperative care in a comfortable, healing environment tailored to each patient Solid navy scrubs required Local candidates accepted at the same pay rates with no mile radius restrictions Onsite parking available American Traveler Job ID P-749913.
