Customer Quality Technician

About the Team:

Customer Quality Technicians perform electrical analysis of customer returns and support of failure root cause analysis.

What you can look forward to as Customer Quality Technician:

• Primary point of contact for product analysis of assigned customer returns.
• Receive, document, and analyze customer returns.
• Proactively work to minimize overall analysis time and disposition of suspect material.
• Analyze customer returns to root cause. Use appropriate test equipment, schematics, data, etc. 
• Work with design engineering to escalate issues during root cause analysis and improve analysis procedures with lessons learnt.
• Work with engineers to determine root cause and corrective action in a timely manner.
• Provide training to peers and product technicians as required.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of analysis equipment.
• Support commissioning new analysis equipment.
• Conduct verification steps and documentation required to support component defect analysis request and complete a supplier analysis request (AR).
• Support Supplier Quality Engineers in the AR process.
• Write clear, concise, detailed tech notes that can be easily applied to customer reports.
• Update analysis records and archive in product dedicated folders for returns.
• Alert Process, Test and/or Quality personnel of any process or component issues found with a VOC document.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and organized workspace.
• Interface with customer as required.
• Gather data from company and customer databases as required.
• Complete charts, graphs and plots as required.
• Assist Customer Quality Engineer with monthly summary report of customer returns.

Your profile as Customer Quality Technician: 

• AS degree in Electronics with 5 years relevant experience in component-level electronics troubleshooting, customer experience. 
• Excellent technical writing skills, ability to write and deliver technical presentations.
• Solid electronic troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and technical information supplied by Engineering, customers and others.
• Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, company web-based software.
• Demonstrate capability with electronic lab test equipment.
• Basic soldering skills including surface-mount.
• Knowledge of common components used in product design.

The expected base compensation for this role is $20.50 - $31.35 hourly. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
