Base pay range $70.00/hr - $80.00/hr Job Title: Snowflake Developer Location: Midtown, NYC (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, may transition to fully onsite) Employment Type: Contract (Long-Term, Special Project) Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Snowflake Developer to join our BI Technology team in support of a high-profile, multi-million dollar infrastructure initiative spanning New York, London, and Asia. This platform leverages Snowflake and Python as core technologies and supports enterprise-wide data warehousing and reporting needs. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in regulatory reporting development, large-scale data projects, or financial domains such as Risk, Finance, or Product Control. Key Responsibilities: Develop and enhance Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions. Build data pipelines and transformations using Python. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Managers, Finance, and Risk to support reporting requirements. Work on batch scheduling using Control-M. Apply data warehousing best practices and Kimball methodologies. Support CI/CD processes using GitHub, Git Actions, TeamCity, and SDA. Perform Veracode scans and remediate vulnerabilities as needed. Participate in production support and on-call rotations as required. Required Skills & Experience: 6+ years of hands-on Snowflake development 6+ years of Python programming experience Strong experience with data warehousing concepts and Kimball methodology Familiarity with CI/CD tools: GitHub, Git Actions, TeamCity, SDA Experience with Control-M for batch job scheduling Solid understanding of Veracode or similar security scanning tools Background in large-scale database development projects Preferred Qualifications: Experience with capital markets or investment banking data Understanding of financial products and reporting used by Product Control or Finance departments Exposure to management/trading data reporting within financial services Personal Attributes: Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business stakeholders Agile and adaptable in a dynamic environment Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities Willingness to support after-hours work or production cycles as needed Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (minimum) Interview Process: 2 remote interview rounds (1 hour each) Final interview onsite Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Contract Job function Job function Information Technology Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Global Systems Search Inc by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Software Engineer” roles.
