Complex Operations Manager

Position Summary

CPC & Associates is assisting a Midwest refiner in the search for an Operations Complex Manager . This leader will guide the Asset Team in achieving safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient operation of the complex’s process units.

The Operations Complex Manager is accountable for the complex’s performance, its long-term improvement plans, and the development of its people. As a member of the refinery’s extended leadership team, this person works across operations, maintenance, engineering, and commercial functions to address operating needs and advance site priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Asset Team in managing the safety, compliance, reliability, and operating performance of assigned process units.
• Ensure the complex meets applicable internal standards, external regulations, and site requirements.
• Maintain effective asset monitoring and maintenance programs, working with support teams to identify and address equipment and operating risks.
• Uphold established procedures and sound operating and maintenance practices.
• Participate in developing and executing the refinery’s operations and optimization plan.
• Develop and own long-term improvement plans for the complex.
• Coordinate across operations, maintenance, engineering, commercial, and other functions to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Develop employees and strengthen the capabilities of the Asset Team and supporting functions.
• Foster an inclusive culture that draws on the full range of experience and perspectives across the workforce.
• Contribute to refinery leadership decisions and help move site priorities forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of refinery experience.
• Previous managerial or supervisory experience.
• Ability to lead teams and work effectively across refinery functions.
• Experience across a combination of operations, commercial, engineering, or related functions.
• Authorization: US Citizen, US Green Card Holder or qualify for a TN Visa.
