Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) with holiday rotation. Up to 1 weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) required per month. On-call shifts may be necessary, with up to 4 call shifts and 2 weekend call shifts per month.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will provide exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced environment within a Level I Trauma Center. The role involves scrubbing and circulating various surgical procedures, contributing to a dynamic and nurse-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions before, during, and after surgery.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams with instruments and equipment.
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow hospital protocols.
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN, with strong scrub experience preferred.
• Valid South Carolina or Multi State/Compact Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification required.
• Radiation badge to be provided by the agency.
