Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' wound care needs.
• Plan and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex wound issues.
• Monitor patients for signs of infection or complications.
• Educate patients and families about wound care management and prevention strategies.
• Document all nursing care in accordance with facility policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and outcomes.

Shift Information

This position is full-time, requiring day shifts with a schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week, typically from 08:00 to 16:30.

Weekend and Holiday Expectations

Travelers are expected to work weekends every other weekend unless otherwise specified. If a major holiday falls within the assignment period, working may be required:

• If one major holiday occurs, the traveler is expected to work it.
• If two major holidays occur, the traveler must work both.
• If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance is required to start on time. Non-compliance may result in a delay of two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the length of the assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in nursing.
• Unit accepts first-time travelers.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Experience or certification in Wound Care is preferred.

Additional Information

This position offers opportunities to float within the facility and to outpatient settings as needed, within the scope of practice.

Locals are accepted and will receive the same rate of pay.
