Compensation: $40-50hr

Hours: 9am-5pm

About the Opportunity

We're partnering with a client seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a temporary engagement supporting audit and year-end close activities. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of accounting experience, strong reconciliation expertise, audit support experience, and advanced Excel skills. CPA and Dynamics GP experience are a plus. This is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact while working alongside a collaborative accounting leadership team

Key Responsibilities

• Support audit and year-end close processes in partnership with accounting leadership
• Assist with external audit requests, including gathering samples and supporting documentation.
• Review workpapers for accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
• Coordinate audit support requests and ensure timely delivery of required information.
• Prepare and support year-end journal entries and related schedules.
• Assist in executing the year-end close calendar and meeting critical deadlines.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including:
  • Fixed Assets
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Deferred Revenue
  • Accruals
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as needed.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience supporting external audits.
• Strong hands-on experience with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

• CPA designation.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP systems.
