Application Engineer

Job Description: This position requires a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science/Chemistry, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience with Automotive Quality systems and requirements, as well as experience with dispense equipment suppliers. A minimum of 7+ years of experience working in a chemical/coatings material for Automotive electronic applications is required (ex: sensors, connectors, printed circuit boards, modules, semiconductors). Account management, analytical thinking lean/six sigma/scientific application methods/development technical writing/reporting business acumen are also necessary.

Responsibilities include technical leadership on developmental and commercialized products by optimizing material application processes, and direct interaction with customers to troubleshoot and solve product and process related problems. The role involves leading customer visits, demonstrations, recommendations, trainings, and problem solving for strategic initiatives and breakthrough technologies. The candidate will also complete laboratory and testing for internal and external customers, and be responsible for the technical training of field sales, customers, and for TCS talent development. Additionally, the candidate will work in a laboratory environment, writing lab reports. A Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering background or equivalent work experience is required.
