Supply Chain SupervisorNextEra Energy's Power Generation Division is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the primary tactical leader for planning execution, translating business demand signals into actionable supply plans while driving forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and cross-functional alignment. This position works closely with Operations, Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain, and Materials Management teams to manage planning risks, improve service levels, and ensure material readiness for both short-term and long-range business requirements.Employees in this position supervise the materials management team to drive the fulfillment of material requirements in support of business needs. Individuals in this role are responsible for the effective acquisition, management, and delivery of materials, supplies, and services to achieve competitive power production objectives for a specific business unit or customer.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Supervises one or more Materials Management Specialists and other personnel associated with materials management functionsCoaches and directs the materials management team to drive down the total cost of ownership and increase business unit productivityAcquires and manages materials and supplies for day-to-day and long-range requirementsForecasts and plans projected materials requirements and manages the pipeline of assigned materials activityOversees and directs the development and execution of purchase ordersOversees the management of the supplier base, developing new sources of supply and monitoring ongoing supplier performanceIncreases efficiency by continually improving processes and procedures, driving standardization and eliminating wasteProvides leadership in the development of department personnelConducts business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for legal and environmental regulationsRequired Qualifications:High School Grad / GEDBachelor's or Equivalent ExperienceExperience: 6+ yearsPreferred Qualifications:Master's DegreeSupervisor/Management Experience: 1+ yearsNextEra Energy offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees and their eligible family members.
