Diesel Mechanic

Location: Mebane, NC (AMG) - Bulk cryo logistics We are looking for a skilled professional in mechanical systems who is motivated by keeping a supply chain in motion. This role involves maintaining and optimizing equipment and ensuring the safe transport of critical products. Work Hours & Compensation Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; on call rotation Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour Travel: As required to repair pumping equipment on work sites and district shops Responsibilities Precision Technical Excellence: Expertly maintain, repair, and overhaul diesel tractors and specialized systems to ensure all equipment meets DOT standards and safety protocols. Strategic Problem Solving: Implement creative solutions to ensure smooth equipment flow and translate maintenance reports into impactful service strategies. Collaborative Prevention & Safety: Partner with the team to communicate technical needs clearly while cultivating a "Safety First" environment focused on proactive maintenance. Required Qualifications 1+ year of automotive maintenance/mechanical experience Experience with a variety of basic hand, power tools, and equipment Basic hand tools (preferably own tools) Knowledgeable in gasoline engine mechanics and preventative maintenance Valid driver’s license (non‑CDL) Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED; two years of technical college or military technical experience Familiarity or interest in cryogenics Familiarity or interest in hydraulics Class A CDL with HazMat; DOT brake certification a plus (not required) Benefits Medical, dental, vision, short‑term and long‑term disability, life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, Employee Assistance Program, pre‑tax commuter transportation benefit, parental leave, vacation, sick time, floating holidays, jury duty and funeral/bereavement leave, and paid holidays for all eligible full‑time employees. 401(k) plan with company matching, tuition reimbursement, discounted college tuition for eligible employees’ dependents, and Airgas Scholarship Program for dependent children.
