We’ll Train the Right Leader - Must be 18+ years of age

You don't need years of management experience to become a leader with us.

Jersey Mike’s Subs is looking for dependable, motivated people who want more than just another job.

Maybe you've already managed a restaurant or team and are ready to step directly into a management role.

Or maybe you haven't been given that opportunity yet.

If you're reliable, comfortable working with people, willing to learn, and interested in developing the skills to lead a team, we're willing to train you.

Have management experience?
Depending on your experience and leadership ability, you may be considered for an immediate Manager position .

Have limited or no management experience?
That's okay. You may start as a Shift Leader / Leader in Training , where we'll teach you how to run shifts, coach employees, handle customer situations, maintain standards, and eventually manage a team.

We're more interested in finding the right person than simply finding the right résumé.

We want someone who:

• Is dependable and shows up when scheduled

• Wants to learn and accepts coaching

• Is comfortable communicating with different personalities

• Can eventually become comfortable giving direction and correcting problems

• Takes responsibility instead of making excuses

• Works hard and leads by example

• Can stay organized during busy periods

• Treats employees and customers with respect

• Wants to grow into greater responsibility

• Understands that leadership sometimes requires having difficult conversations

You don't need to know how to do all of this on Day One.

We can teach restaurant operations. We can teach our systems. We can teach you how to run a shift.

What we're looking for is someone with the reliability, attitude, maturity, and willingness to become a strong leader.

Depending on your experience level, you'll learn and/or be responsible for:

• Leading and managing shifts

• Assigning positions and directing the team

• Coaching and developing employees

• Handling customer concerns

• Maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards

• Opening and closing the restaurant

• Managing busy rush periods

• Addressing attendance and performance issues

• Communicating with store leadership

• Recognizing great performance

• Holding team members accountable when expectations aren't being met

This is not intended to be a dead-end Shift Leader position.

For someone who demonstrates reliability, leadership, coachability, and the ability to manage people, there is an opportunity to continue developing into Manager and potentially higher leadership roles.

If you already have strong restaurant management experience, we're interested in talking with you about starting at the management level.

If you don't have the experience yet but believe you have the ability and desire to become a leader, we want to talk with you too.

Experience can get you in the door at a higher level. Potential, reliability, and willingness to learn can get you there too.
