Description Join our dynamic team as a Radiology Technologist, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering outstanding patient care. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic X-rays accurately and effectively. You will assist physicians by preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, and positioning them correctly for optimal imaging results. Duties and Responsibilities Communicate effectively with patients, breaking down complex medical terminology to alleviate pre-testing anxiety. Execute a variety of x-ray examinations while adhering to established protocols and safety standards. Ensure patients are positioned according to departmental guidelines for radiographic procedures. Identify and promptly report any abnormalities in patients, including symptoms like fainting or discoloration, to the Radiologist. Operate imaging equipment to transfer and store computed images efficiently. Utilize proper film markers, ensuring images are accurately labeled to indicate the correct anatomical sides. Label all images clearly with the correct date and patient identification. Enter patient history and relevant information from requisitions accurately. Assist with immobilization and supportive devices as necessary for patient comfort and safety. Perform additional duties as required; all responsibilities are essential functions of the job as outlined under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Required Qualifications Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Must hold an appropriate state license as a technologist, if applicable. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). COVID-19 vaccination as required by local, state, or federal regulations (unless exempt for medical or religious reasons). Seasonal Influenza vaccination required.
