Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Analyst for a direct hire opportunity in San Juan, PR within the insurance industry. This role is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys transforming business, underwriting, portfolio, and financial data into clear insights that support strategic decision-making and improved performance.

The Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate trends, identify risks and opportunities, and develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models that help leadership make informed decisions. This position offers a collaborative work environment, supportive leadership, and exposure to meaningful business initiatives tied to profitability, planning, underwriting performance, and portfolio management.

This is a strong opportunity for a bilingual business analytics professional who wants to contribute directly to operational and financial outcomes while working with tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel in a stable, professional insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business, underwriting, portfolio, financial, and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models using Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
- Evaluate profitability, business performance, and key metrics to support strategic planning and management decisions.
- Translate complex data findings into actionable insights, summaries, and recommendations for leadership and business partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on reporting, budgeting, planning, portfolio analysis, and operational initiatives.
- Support ad hoc analysis and data-driven projects that improve visibility, decision-making, and business outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Location: San Juan, PR.
