Senior Accountant

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience with month-end close, and the ability to take ownership of key accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and financial schedules
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances or discrepancies
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reporting
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Partner with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
• Identify process improvements and help drive efficiencies within the accounting function
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
