Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity designed for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants passionate about making an impact within a school setting. This anticipated need calls for a flexible, reliable professional skilled in working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
As a floater, you’ll engage with a range of students across several sites, fostering growth and independence within a dedicated education team. While final caseload numbers are still being determined, the outlined schedule provides structure and the chance to support multiple age groups throughout the academic year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility).
- Experience or strong interest in working within a school environment.
- Familiarity with Pre K-12 populations, ideally across varied developmental and functional needs.
- Adaptability for working between locations and with evolving caseloads.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy assistance under OT supervision, supporting individualized student goals.
- Implement interventions aligning with each student’s IEP.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to foster student success.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Adapt to shifting needs as a floater across multiple sites.
Position Details:
- Academic year contract: September 3, 2026 – June 24, 2027.
- Approximately 29-30 hours per week.
- Work with students at several school sites on rotation, ensuring variety in your daily environment.
