Systems EngineerGlen Cove, New YorkThe Systems Engineer is the connective tissue between Allied Maker's teams and the tools they rely on: NetSuite, Autodesk Fusion, Wrike, the custom WMS, and the integrations that tie them together. This role goes beyond administration. The Systems Engineer is an integrator of design, planning, and operations, someone who understands how a fixture flows from design through shipping and builds systems that make that flow faster, cleaner, and more measurable. They refine workflows, build automations, and help leadership see team targets clearly.Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform AdministrationOwn day-to-day administration of NetSuite (items, BOMs, work orders, inventory, POs, reports, saved searches, roles), Autodesk Fusion / Fusion Manage, and WrikeMaintain user access, permissions, and licenses across platforms; manage onboarding/offboardingEnsure the custom WMS remains well-integrated with NetSuite and reflects physical operations accuratelyIntegration & AutomationBuild and maintain integrations between NetSuite, Fusion, Wrike, and the custom WMSDesign automations (SuiteFlow/SuiteScript, Wrike automations, webhooks, scheduled jobs) to reduce manual handoffsPartner with Design, Manufacturing, and Operations to identify high-impact automation opportunitiesWorkflow Design & Team TargetsTranslate real-world workflow (design ? engineering ? vendor ? receiving ? finishing ? assembly ? ship) into system workflows and stage gatesBuild dashboards and reports that surface team targets, lead times, and bottlenecksPartner with department leads to refine status fields, definitions of done, and handoff protocolsReliability & Change ManagementDocument system configurations and changes; manage release processes for customizationsTrain teams on workflows and provide Tier-2 support for system issuesEvaluate and implement new tools, modules, or integrationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)3–5 years of experience administering and extending NetSuite in a manufacturing or inventory-driven environmentWorking knowledge of Autodesk Fusion / Fusion Manage and Wrike (or similar tools)Proven ability to design workflows and build automationsFamiliarity with SQL, SuiteScript, or similar scripting toolsStrong communication skills and ability to translate operational needs into system solutionsPreferred QualificationsNetSuite SuiteScript 2.x or Administrator certificationExperience integrating a custom WMS with NetSuiteExperience with iPaaS tools (Celigo, Workato, Boomi, Zapier)Background in manufacturing or make-to-order environmentsExperience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $100,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience)Discretionary bonusMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPTO, holidays, parental leaveEmployer-paid life and disability insuranceEmployee assistance programSafety shoe and eyewear allowanceEmployee discount on Allied Maker productsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsOn-site at the Glen Cove workshopPrimarily office-based with frequent time on the shop floorRequires seated computer work with occasional light liftingAbout Allied MakerAllied Maker is an American design and manufacturing studio creating luxury-crafted lighting fixtures.
