Pediatric Oncology RN

Schedule

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Oncology RN to join our team. The selected candidate will provide care for pediatric patients, primarily ages 0-17, in a medical surgical and hematology/oncology setting. This role involves administering chemotherapy and managing ports, in addition to usual nursing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and manage central lines.
• Provide general care for pediatric medical and surgical patients.
• Monitor chemotherapy administration and patient responses.
• Maintain infection control practices and isolation precautions.
• Conduct lab draws and initiate IV lines as needed.
• Float as required to PICU and NICU units.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics or oncology.
• BCLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Experience with IV starts and lab draws preferred.
• Chemo administration experience is strongly preferred.
• Must have the ability to float within/near the facility.
