Today, through our state-of-the-art Level One Trauma Center, cutting-edge specialty care units, and dedicated caregivers, the system is working at the forefront of medicine to address the overall needs of our patients and eliminate healthcare disparities.\n \n \nJoin our Radiology Department at MetroHealth! \n \n \nPrimary Patient Population:\n \n \n \n Underserved population in the Greater Cleveland area \n Trauma Patients \n Stroke Patients \n Cancer Patients \n \n \n \nPrimary skills utilized/learned:\n \n \n \n Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology \n Neuro, MSK, abdominothoracic, and cardiac anatomy \n IV Starts \n Produces quality CT images in a variety of settings \n Assisting with CT Guided Procedures including biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations \n Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients \n Educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain basic understanding and comfort. \n On the spot critical thinking \n Effective communication skills \n Functions well under stress and with minimal supervision \n Works well both independently and as part of the CT Team \n \n \n \nPersonnel CT Tech will work with:\n \n \n \n The CT staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients. \n \n \n \nAwards or Recognitions the unit has received:\n \n \n \n All CT scanners are ACR Accredited \n Brand new Siemens edge and dual source Force scanner \n Fuji 256 ED specific unit \n GE PET scanner 256 \n All CT Technologists credentialed through ARRT \n Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing CT (Computed Tomography) scanning equipment in the diagnosis of diseases in humans. \n Provides a safe and supporting care environment for patients undergoing procedures involving the use of CT, while assisting the radiologists and nursing staff during those procedures. \n Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations. \n \n \nMetroHealth offers industry-leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance. As a public employer, employees participate in the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS).\n \n \nRequired Qualifications:\n \n \n \n Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program \n Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) \n ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment. \n Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH) \n American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period. \n \n \n \nPreferred Qualifications:\n \n \n \n One year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in CT. \n \n \n \nPhysical Requirements:\n \n \n \n May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. \n May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs. \n May need to sit or stand for extended periods. \n See in the normal visual range with or without correction. \n Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. \n \n \n \nCheck out Radiology Careers at MetroHealth by clicking the following link:\n \n \nRadiology | MetroHealth
