Quality Inspector- Night Shift

Additional duties such as process development may be required. Work Schedule Monday – Thursday, 3pm – 1:30am (Night Shift) Must be able to work a 40‑hour work week and additional hours as required. Essential Functions – Other Duties May Be Assigned Inspect and support electrical reviews on a wide variety of equipment and products, i.e., MCC buildings, e‑houses, power centers, LACT units, pump stations, rebuild equipment, etc. Interpret and work from technical assembly prints to wire and install electrical components, switches, and electronic instruments (PLCs, data loggers, relays, breakers, etc.) to determine quality and reliability standards are met. Ensure all equipment is calibrated and meets electrical code/design specifications. Perform in‑process inspections throughout production and conduct visual and measurement tests. Conduct final inspections of finished products to confirm all operations meet IE/customer specifications. Communicate changes to quality processes/procedures with Manufacturing Manager and team leads. Assist in the collection of process turn‑backs; lead analysis of root causes and implement corrective actions. Work closely with the manufacturing and engineering team to ensure all documentation is completed. Assist QMS team, engineers, supervisors, and employees on workmanship and quality standards and training new employees on inspection procedures. Identify manufacturing process improvement opportunities and lead root‑cause analysis on all company escapes. Utilize the latest NEC code requirements, provide instruction, explanations, and guidance to team members, ensuring the project meets NEC requirements. Effectively communicate technical information verbally and in writing with assemblers, peers, engineers, supervisors, and suppliers as needed. Support QMS in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, including the Non‑Conforming Material Program. Demonstrate initiative and stay organized throughout the workday, supporting additional tasks as required. Assist in regular safety meetings at the shop floor and work group level; notify supervisor of safety opportunities or concerns. May be required to perform additional operational inspections in fabrication, mechanical assembly, and paint. Other Essential Duties Maintain regular and consistent job attendance, arriving on time. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities HS diploma or GED plus three years of relevant industrial/commercial electrical experience plus two years of quality control/inspection experience. Working knowledge of three‑phase power systems, motor controls, drives, low voltage controls, and PLCs. Working knowledge/use of electrical test equipment (multimeter, Volt‑Ohm meters, Hi‑pot, calipers). Ability to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures (OSHA, MSHA). Knowledge of applicable electrical codes (NEC, MSHA). Ability to read, understand, and follow electrical diagrams and prints. Observant, detail‑oriented, able to read prints and diagrams. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication with employees at all levels. Positive customer relations. General PC skills including email, internet, data entry, and Microsoft Excel. Safe use of hand tools, overhead cranes, forklift, hoists, etc. Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities: close, peripheral, color, depth perception, focus adjustment. Use of hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear. Walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently. Perform lifting and continual bending while standing on a concrete floor.
