EXECUTIVE SPECIALIST VI - OAHU

Job Summary Recruitment Number 24-0322 – Immediate vacancies located in Downtown. Administrative Assistant VI salary $6,535 to $7,952 per month (SR-26, Step D to I). This role is NOT an office support or secretarial position. The position requires advanced administrative work in assisting the director of a department in directing large‑scale departmental programs, advising superiors, conducting special studies, collecting and analyzing data, investigating complaints, identifying problems, developing recommendations, and performing other duties as required. Responsibilities Assist the department director in directing large‑scale departmental programs. Advise superiors on administrative matters. Conduct special studies and analyses of programs. Collect and analyze data; investigate complaints and infractions of rules and regulations. Identify problems and alternatives; develop logical recommendations. Prepare operational and activity reports. Qualifications Legal Authorization to Work : Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the U.S., or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States. Education : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university. General Experience : 1½ years of professional work experience demonstrating skills in writing reports, analysis, proposals, recommendations, interpreting complex written materials, resolving complex problems, oral communication, establishing relationships, and preparing reports. Specialized Experience : 3 years of professional work experience demonstrating responsibility for planning and coordinating program activities, solving operational problems, conducting studies and analysis, making recommendations, and managing administrative processes. Desired Qualifications : At least 3 years of professional work experience in journalism, communications, public affairs and/or public relations, creating content for and managing various communications tools such as social media, website development, video, podcasts, PowerPoint, newsletters, internal communications, media relations, photography, or videography.
