Position Summary JMT surveys is seeking a Survey Crew Leader to join our teams in Hunt Valley, MD or York, PA. This position will be responsible for managing a field crew in the performance of daily survey tasks. Come join a team with a diverse set of skills and an even more diverse workload. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Perform control, boundary, and topographic surveys Operate and supervise the use of all survey equipment including electronic data collectors (Trimble), digital levels, robotic total station, GPS and survey vehicles. Performs construction stakeout computations necessary for the completion of task assignments Tracks job progress Coordinates information for stakeout services Communicates the daily progress of the crew towards the project goals and/or accomplishments with the office staff Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities Perform other related duties as assigned Compensation for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. Preferred Experience FAA Part 107 with documented flight hours Tree identification Experience with construction stakeouts Familiarity with third party software for data reduction and drafting, including Microstation & AutoCAD Familiarity with Subsurface Utility Designation and/or Test Holes Working Conditions Work is performed in a field environment 95% of the time, where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required.
