Title International Summer Music Institute Instructor Location Denton Salary $60.00 an hour Responsibilities Teaching 45‑minute one‑on‑one applied lessons for ISMI participants. Each participant receives three 45‑minute lessons during one ISMI session. Job Duties Individual applied instruction in strings or piano Chamber music coaching Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in music or closely related field, recommendation by UNT faculty member. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Understanding of standard violin and string chamber music repertoire, with a respect to teach students at a variety of levels. Experience advising and mentoring students within an academic setting. Professional orchestral performance experience. University teaching experience. Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information. Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Environmental Hazards No adverse environmental conditions expected. Noisy environments. Work Schedule Hours will be consistent with posted daily hours for ISMI camp from July 5-12, 2026.
