Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Strong orthopedic background preferred
• Experience in an acute care or medical-surgical setting preferred
• Ability to work nights and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately in the electronic health record
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
• Administer medications and monitor patient response according to best practice
• Support patients with post-surgical recovery, stroke workups, and other Med/Surg needs
• Manage and monitor common devices and therapies such as wound vacs, drains, NG tubes, central lines, and oxygen support
• Collaborate closely with physicians, PCTs, and unit support staff to coordinate care
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and recovery throughout every shift
