Job Responsibilities
  • Develop Tailored Treatment Approaches: Recognize each patient's unique needs and formulate personalized therapy strategies to help achieve their functional objectives.
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to enhance motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living tasks.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Engage closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive and holistic patient care.
  • Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their loved ones in therapeutic techniques that foster continued improvement at home.
  • Track and Adjust Treatment Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify treatment plans as necessary to keep patients on the path to success.
Education
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Continuing education or postgraduate certifications are encouraged and supported.
Certifications
  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory.
Skills
  • A robust passion for people and a sincere desire to assist others in achieving their greatest independence.
  • Excellent empathetic communication skills with both patients and team members.
  • Ability to think innovatively and adjust plans to accommodate diverse patient needs.
