District Sales Manager - IgG4-Rare Disease (West)

Amgen seeks a District Sales Manager to lead a team of specialty account managers in the IgG4-Rare Disease market across California. The role involves driving market penetration, developing sales strategy, managing team performance, and achieving organizational sales goals within the rare disease space.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of specialty account managers to ensure market penetration and achievement of sales goals in IgG4-RD space
• Develop and execute business strategy aligned with corporate and therapeutic area goals; manage territory tools and cross-functional resources
• Conduct weekly ride-alongs with team members, provide written feedback, and ensure regulatory compliance in all promotional activities
• Establish productivity and trust across the national IgG4-RD sales team and drive customer relationships to support business objectives
• Represent organization at trade shows; provide input to regional and national sales meetings; develop professional growth plans for team

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years sales/marketing experience, OR Master's degree and 6 years sales/marketing experience, OR Bachelor's degree and 8 years sales/marketing experience
• 2 years managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams
• Pharma or account management experience in rare disease preferred
• Sales experience with biologics, infusion, and specialty products preferred
• Buy-and-bill experience preferred; experience with institutions and integrated delivery networks preferred
• Approximately 80% travel availability including overnight and weekend commitments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; professional demeanor; strong interpersonal and communication skills
