Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Lead pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist-In-Charge in a community retail setting serving approximately 100–150 prescriptions daily. This role offers direct hire employment in Elkhart, KS, within a 340B covered-entity pharmacy utilizing Liberty pharmacy software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Pharmacist-In-Charge of record, managing all daily pharmacy activities.
- Supervise a team including pharmacists, PRN/contract pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel.
- Review and verify prescriptions, dispense medications accurately, and provide comprehensive patient counseling.
- Ensure full compliance with Kansas Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, controlled-substance, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
- Oversee 340B pharmacy functions such as compliance, inventory replenishment, pricing, and reimbursement processes.
- Manage inventory control, records for controlled substances, relationships with wholesalers, PSAO/PBM partners, and 340B split-billing workflows.
- Maintain and update pharmacy policies, procedures, quality standards, and readiness for audits.
Qualifications:
- PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited program.
- Active, unrestricted Kansas Pharmacist license with eligibility to serve as PIC.
- Preferably 1–2 years of retail/community pharmacy experience.
- Previous PIC, supervisory, or leadership experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience with 340B pharmacy programs is preferred.
- Willingness to obtain Oklahoma licensure/registration for potential cross-border dispensing.
- BLS/AED certification upon hire or ability to secure within 60 days.
