Position / LCAT: Microsoft System Administrator Level: Senior and Junior Lead Designation: N/A Location: Fort Belvoir, VA Role Summary Supports the identification and resolution of automation and information technology hardware and software issues to maintain at least a 99% system availability rate. Senior administrators perform administration and maintenance of Windows-based servers, apply DISA STIGs, deploy applications, and conduct system upgrades across multiple supported networks. Junior administrators perform installation, configuration, administration, and monitoring of end-user IT automation equipment including baseline imaging, performance optimization, patching, and updating. Responsibilities Perform administration and maintenance of Windows-based servers, including daily system checks; record 100% of findings and statuses Ensure all Microsoft Windows Server and installed features/applications have the latest DISA STIGs applied within 30 calendar days of release Apply vendor security updates and hotfixes to address ACAS findings and organizational security mandates within 14 calendar days Provide detailed system matrices of supported systems and applications including utilization, uptime, storage availability, and performance Deploy in-house developed, COTS, and GOTS applications to production, integration, and staging servers within 2 business days Conduct system upgrades; planning phase within 15 business days of upgrade request Ensure availability and accessibility of approximately 20 Microsoft IIS websites hosted across five networks Provide Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning, evaluation, and execution bi-annually Notify Government of unscheduled outages within 30 minutes; record to operations log within 4 hours Provide after-hours on-site support with 2-hour response time Monitor and manage trouble tickets assigned to the Systems Administration branch Perform installation, configuration, administration, and monitoring of end-user IT automation equipment, including baseline imaging, performance optimization, patching, and updating Perform maintenance and functionality checks of conference rooms to ensure computer, video-teleconference, and voice IT equipment are operational Identify, prioritize, track, and resolve end-user automation hardware and software issues to maintain 99% system availability Provide comprehensive inventory and automation capability matrices monthly or as requested Analyze technical support requests and provide solutions within 10 business days of receipt Coordinate with Property Book Office to manage equipment issue and turn-in process for end-user IT equipment Perform daily printer management duties including paper and toner supply maintenance Required Qualifications Eight years of progressively responsible experience in server administration, including supporting and managing servers in a production environment Five years of experience identifying and analyzing server requirements; planning the design and deployment of new technologies and upgrades Five years of experience applying industry best practices on Windows Server 2016 and later operating systems Eight years of experience on server administration in Microsoft Windows environments, including configuration, performance monitoring, and tuning Four years of management experience Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP experience Three years of experience serving as a team leader Five years of experience mentoring junior personnel Five years of experience applying systems patches and STIGs on Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and later Four years of experience using PowerShell and other scripting languages to automate common and repeat tasks Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Windows Server 2012/Windows Server 2016 Certification DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II / Intermediate certification TS/SCI clearance with SBI and ability to attain SI, TK, G, HCS, and NATO Secret clearance Three years of progressively responsible experience in desktop support and administration, including supporting, troubleshooting, and managing workstations, monitors, VTC, and printers Three years of experience with installing software, patching software, and troubleshooting software configuration Two years of experience with printer support and maintenance Three years of experience with equipment inventory management and turn-in process DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II / Intermediate certification TS/SCI clearance with SBI and ability to attain SI, TK, G, HCS, and NATO Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation Experience with DISA STIG compliance and ACAS For positions requiring a federal security clearance, your clearance level must be clearly identified on your resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr North Point Technology
