VMGA - 03: Camera Operator

Job Description: We’re looking for a sharp, intuitive camera operator who knows how to move with purpose and shoot with clarity. This is a gig-style role for branded content, social media assets, and commercial storytelling, not weddings, not films, so you don’t need to be a cinematographer, just someone who can capture clean, intentional footage that’s built for post-production speed. Responsibilities: • Operate camera equipment for branded shoots, product videos, and client-facing content • Collaborate with directors and editors to ensure footage aligns with narrative goals • Capture clean audio when needed (basic boom or lav setup) • Maintain gear, prep for shoots, and troubleshoot on the fly • Deliver footage promptly and in organized formats for editing Requirements: • Experience with mirrorless DSLR or cinema-style cameras (Lumix, Canon, Blackmagic, etc.) • Strong understanding of framing, lighting, and movement • Able to work independently or with a small crew • Based in Los Angeles. • No video agency contractors, no foreign-based applicants • Must be comfortable shooting branded content, not weddings, not narrative film Compensation: • Hourly rate • Starts at a baseline and increases based on project scope, speed, and delivery How to Apply: If you’re a camera operator who knows their gear, respects the craft, and is ready to level up in professionalism, click “Easy Apply” and let’s talk.
