Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and in-depth analyses of medical histories
• Aid in the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical conditions by interpreting diagnostic imaging and lab results
• Work collaboratively with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans for patients
• Provide intraoperative support, ensuring operating rooms are prepped, patient positioning is optimal, and surgical instruments are appropriately handed off during procedures
• Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, wound care, discharge planning, and educating patients

Required Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus preferred

Certifications Needed

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant (or eligibility)
