Location & Shift Primary City/State: Four Peaks Medical Center – 1301 S Crismon Rd, Mesa, AZ 85209. Shift: Night Department: Emergency Department Compensation $15k Sign-On Bonus Job Summary The RN's practice is guided by the ANA Standard for Professional Nurse and Code of Ethics. The RN has knowledge of professional nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures as applied to the care of the patient population served. The RN records patients' medical history and symptoms, helps perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, operates medical equipment, administers treatment and medications, and helps with patient follow-up and rehabilitation. The RN establishes or contributes to patient care plans, including administering medication, managing IV lines, administering therapies, observing and recording patient status, and consulting with physicians and other clinicians. The RN teaches patients and families how to manage illnesses, post-treatment care, diet, nutrition, exercise, and self-medication. The RN directs licensed practical nurses and nursing aides regarding patient care and delegates when appropriate. The RN supports clinical knowledge advancement, precepts new hires and students, assists staff in completing competency tasks, and continues to enhance knowledge of nursing management and patient care. Essential Functions Possess knowledge of systematic health data collection, prioritize patient needs, analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses, and utilize nursing diagnoses to develop, implement, evaluate, and revise family-centered, developmentally and culturally relevant plans of care. Identify individualized expected outcomes based on patient’s health problems, develop evidence-based care plans, and provide continuity of care. Implement interventions, initiate treatments, medications, emergency, and resuscitative measures per standing orders and policies, and provide compassionate care to physical, emotional, spiritual, and social-cultural needs of patients and families. Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes, document observations, nursing interventions, and therapeutic measures, and provide ongoing quality evaluation of care plans. Self-evaluate nursing practice relative to professional standards and regulations, maintain current knowledge, and systematically evaluate practice quality. Integrate ethical principles and enhance knowledge of cultural and diversity needs. Collaborate with peers and health care providers through mentorship and professional development, fostering quality practice. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care delivery and develop evidence-based standards of care. Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering patient care using resources effectively and efficiently. Education Diploma or ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months of hire or have 5+ years of RN experience at hire. Associates or Diploma in Nursing acceptable. Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Experience More than 10 months in med-surg or acute specialty setting required. At least 1 year RN experience required for all Float Positions. Licenses & Certifications BLS certification required (BLS training course C and unit-specific certification as required by specialty area DOP). Registered Nurse (RN) license required in the State of Arizona upon hire. National certification for unit-specific patient population preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr HonorHealth
