Maintenance Technician – JLL

As a Maintenance Technician at JLL, you'll be the hands-on expert ensuring our facilities operate smoothly and safely every day. This role is critical to delivering exceptional property management services to our clients by maintaining building systems, responding to service requests, and keeping facilities in optimal condition. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems to keep facilities operating efficiently
• Complete daily work orders and service requests promptly, ensuring accurate documentation of all maintenance activities and materials used
• Conduct routine facility inspections to identify potential issues, maintain lighting systems, and perform preventive maintenance on building equipment
• Handle facility support tasks such as rekeying doors, cutting keys, and moving office furniture or equipment as needed
• Respond to building emergencies and urgent maintenance situations while strictly adhering to safety protocols and compliance requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following established safety rules and proper tool/equipment handling procedures
• Support on-call shifts, overtime, and emergency response duties as required to ensure continuous facility operations

Required Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in building engineering, general repairs, or facilities maintenance
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Demonstrated technical proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance and repairs
• Physical ability to lift 50 to 80 lbs and safely use ladders up to 30 feet
• Availability and willingness to support on-call shifts, emergency response, and overtime when required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade certifications or specialized training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related technical disciplines
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or work order tracking software
• Basic knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and energy management platforms
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and facility compliance requirements
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation when interacting with tenants and building occupants

Location: Portsmouth NH

Work Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
