Covenant Woods is looking for a talented and dependable Full-Time and Part-Time Cooks to help prepare delicious, high-quality meals for our residents and special events. If you're passionate about cooking, food safety, and providing exceptional service, we'd love to meet you! Schedule: Full-time 6:30 am - 3:00 pm Every other weekend off Part-time 6:30 am -3:00 pm Saturday and Sunday, One day during the week.

Every other weekend off What You'll Do As a Cook, you'll work alongside our culinary team to prepare and present a variety of menu items while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing, cooking, and portioning meals under the direction of the Chef
- Working a variety of stations, including sauté, fry, braising, and salad preparation
- Ensuring all food is cooked, held, and stored at proper temperatures
- Recording temperatures and following all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Keeping kitchens, workstations, equipment, coolers, and storage areas clean and organized
- Properly labeling, dating, and storing food products
- Supporting meal service for daily dining and special events
- Following all Virginia Department of Health regulations and ServSafe® standards
- Providing outstanding service while embracing Covenant Woods' commitment to excellence
- Previous commercial cooking experience preferred
- Experience with basic cooking techniques, including sautéing, frying, braising, and salad preparation
- ServSafe® Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong attention to food safety and sanitation
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and kitchen procedures
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
